Hi Rebecca! Congrats to both you and Corey Rosen Schwartz on the release of WHAT ABOUT MOOSE?  I love how kids will learn from bossy pants Moose without even realizing it.  All of the THINK QUICK themes below appear in your book.  Let’s see which way you lean.  Remember, THINK QUICK!

On Friends:
The more the merrier or a quiet few?

Quiet few.
I grew up in a large, rowdy family, so maybe that’s why I prefer intimate gatherings when it comes to getting together with friends.

On Building:
Follow the plan or explore new possibilities?

Follow the plan.

On Tree Houses:
Private getaway or gathering for all?

Private getaway.

On Leadership:
Call the shots or follow along?

Follow along.
I don’t mind following someone else’s lead, unless I happen to be the only “expert” around.

On Communication:
Speak your mind or think it out?

Think!

On Problem Solving:
Work as a team or think alone quietly?

Alone.

On Micromanagement:
Go with the flow or speak up?

Speak up.
If I’m given a task to do, I want to be left alone to do it. If I need help or advice, I’ll ask.

On Attention:
Front and center or blend into the back?

Blend.

On Noise:
Bustling or peaceful?

Peaceful.
I don’t even write with music on.

On Animals:
Moose or Bear?

Moose.

On Books:
What About Moose or What About Moose?

What About Moose?, of course!

Thanks for thinking quick with us!

You’re welcome. It was fun!

If Rebecca J. Gomez had a tree house, she’d climb up there on warm-weather days and write stories in her composition notebook. But for now she’s stuck with an ordinary deck overlooking a yard with baby trees. When she’s not writing stories, she enjoys painting and drawing, reading, hiking, and spending time with her family. She lives in Nebraska with her hubby, three kids, two poodles, and one parrotlet. Visit her website at www.rebeccajgomez.com or follow her on twitter @gomezwrites.

That moose looks pretty full of itself! And from the interview, it sounds like Rebecca is an introvert. It's a great club with many benefits!

As a children’s writer, and a teacher, my goal is to help you carry on.  Sometimes learning is challenging, so why go it alone?  Your journey will be more meaningful and comfortable with friends to share it with. Together, we'll get up close and personal with authors, illustrators, and the best of picture books.  If we work together, great things will follow!
