Tonight I watched my daughter spin a toy around her ankle that was similar to a favorite of mine from childhood. It brought be so much joy to pass along something that was part of my childhood. This is a great way to build traditions and connections with children, while reliving joy from your past.
This week's writing assignment: Write about something that brought you joy as a child, or something you have passed onto your kids. Weave it into a story, writing from the child's perspective. We currently see it from adult eyes. How would the child see it?
