NOTE: CARRIE IS NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW MARKETING CLIENTS

Are you marketing a new book or idea and need help developing a new campaign?
Do you need help composing emails to your following?  Do you need a ghostwriter? Are you short on time, but still want to market on social media via your professional Facebook page, Twitter, Google +, or Pinterest?  Do you need graphic images created for events? Or maybe a general plan that will help you tackle marketing? Does social media scare you?  I delight in assisting with these KidLit marketing tasks!

My experience:
Before becoming the Regional Advisor for SCBWI North Texas, I spent two years as the Social Media Chair. I have written freelance marketing emails and provide social media support for authors Julie Hedlund and Laura Murray. I have also provided marketing services for the 12 x I2 Picture Book Challenge, Picture Book Summit, and author Jennifer Cole Judd. I managed the Carrie On… Together! blog since May of 2013, where I actively promoted other authors, review books, and foster creative ideas such as the THINK QUICK and Mentor Text Talk interviews.  My service to the kidlit community was recognized when I was selected as a Round One Fiction Picture Book Panelist during the 2014-15 CYBILS Awards.  I have enjoyed contributing to various writing blogs including Writers Rumpus, Kids Are Writers, and
the Institute of Children's Literature. I’ve been an active member of the kidlit community since 2012, in such groups as SCBWI, PiBoIdMo, and 12 x 12, among others, before founding the annual Reading for Research challenge, or ReFoReMo.
The challenge aims at inspiring writers of all ages to reform writing through reading picture books as mentor texts. In addition to writing my own posts and coordinating daily guest posts from kidlit professionals, it requires me to market the challenge to the kidlit community through guest posts and social media, as well as manage registrations, giveaways, and a Facebook Group for our community.  In addition, my video marketing skills can be viewed HERE.  As regional advisor for SCBWI North Texas, I performed a little bit of everything related to marketing and management.

Testimonial:

"Carrie's social media mentoring was invaluable in helping me establish a social media platform for myself and my new book.  Her knowledge of multiple social media sites, expertise in the children's literature world, and clear, supportive guidelines and ideas gave me a solid plan to get started and not feel lost in the vastness of the social media world! She is both professional and nurturing in her mentoring, and goes the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable with navigating new media, as well as her suggestions for marketing. Her services are worth every penny--I will definitely be calling on her again!"
-Jennifer Cole Judd, Children's Author
